As always, thank you so much for trusting me with your care. Should you have any questions please feel free to email me @ grace.wardrmt@gmail.com.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), energy, or “Qi” (pronounced “chee”) flows along specific pathways, or meridians, throughout the body. This constant flow of energy keeps our internal forces balanced. Occasionally, the flow of energy can become blocked in our bodies which can lead to pain, lack of function, or illness. Acupuncture therapy can release blocked Qi in the body and stimulates function, evoking the body’s natural healing response through various physiological processes.

Acupuncture has well-documented effects on the nervous system, endocrine and immune function, the cardiovascular system, and digestive health. It can release endorphins (the body’s natural pain-killers), manage inflammation by increasing local circulation, and modulate the immune system. By stimulating the body’s various internal healing mechanisms, acupuncture can help relieve pain, support digestive function, improve sleep, alleviate headaches, and improve overall health and well-being.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is an effective approach to rehabilitation and pain management. It consists of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, which include muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing function and improving health.

Grace Ward graduated from Georgian College’s Massage Therapy Program in 2013.
